Did This Lie From Gay Groups Incite Murder?

Yesterday, I made this post, which led me into a conversation with several gay advocates on Facebook. I stated that gay groups were spreading lies that incited violence, like the shooting yesterday at the FRC. It did not take long before one of the advocates made the claim that the Family Research Council lobbied in favor of a Uganda law that made death a punishment for homosexuality.

I know that the left makes up lies like this, and it did not take me long to find this CBS article to prove the point. The truth is that the FRC asked that the language of the bill to be changed, since gay groups were using the bill to mainstream homosexuality. As I surmised, the FRC was not lobbying to kill homosexuals, but that is the lie that gay groups have been spreading.

Did this lie incite the shooter in D,C. to commit murder? Everything that we now know indicates that it probably was the lie that led the shooter to murder.

Yesterday GLAAD, released this statement on behalf of 25 gay groups:

The motivation and circumstances behind today’s tragedy are still unknown, but regardless of what emerges as the reason for this shooting, we utterly reject and condemn such violence. We wish for a swift and complete recovery for the victim of this terrible incident.

Despite this, GLAAD and many other gay groups, are continuing to perpetuate this hate-filled lie about Uganda that is certain to incite more violence. This lie is being told by many left-wing groups, including the Daily Kos. In fact, I saw this on GLAAD’s website just yesterday (they still have not taken it down):

Instead of making a show of opposing the shooting that they probably helped incite. They should issue an apology to the Family Research Council, correct this lie and the many others that they tell, and agree to stop using irresponsible hate-filled lies for political ends. If they really cared, that’s what they would do.

It is regretful when words of one person can be used as a excuse for the behavior of another. However, this appears to be the suggestion of this article.
How let us see this in reverse. For decades, hate filled voices have echoed from the pulpits of America, from America’s political leaders, educational leaders and even health professionals. What has that hateful lie been? Gays are perverted, sinners, child molesters, detested by God and hated by society. This as resulted in a societal ideology that those opposed to gays are in alignment with God, their country and society if they should ‘kill’ the gay person. Has this actually lead to a base person, with little intelligence, committing murder against a gay person? Maybe, like the incident here, it cannot be proven conclusively, but all indicastions point to that direction. How do we know this? On several occassion, the defense of the murderer has been quoting scriptures, and evoking the position of ‘God being on their side’.
Again this is unfortunate, however, gays have endure this situation for decades and many have been ‘murdered’ because of lies from the ‘straight’ side.

But the FRC does not believe that violence toward gays is appropriate, nor does any decent person. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
