Traditional Marriage: Biology, Not Bigotry

WeddingRings

Even from a secular viewpoint, traditional marriage is distinct and more important for society than same-sex “marriage.” It is the basis for civilization and the continuation of society. This is simply biology, not bigotry–as the supporters of same-sex ‘marriage’ charge. Watch the video below and leave a comment for us.

Elton John Surrenders in Gay Boycott, Declares Love of Dolce and Gabbana

colosseum

Rome, March 19, 2015 (AcuteMania.Net) — In case you have not heard, a couple of famous gay guys had a loud, drama-filled feud with another famous gay guy. That sound you hear is the sound of a well-established stereotype being solidly reinforced. Now I don’t want to say that gay men act like women because that would be “sexist” and “homophobic.” So, I’ll just tell you what happened and let their actions speak for themselves.

In an interview with the Italian magazine Panorama, the well-known fashion designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, said “we oppose gay adoptions.” In fact, they said that they oppose gay ‘marriage’ and adoption and that they find in vitro fertilization unnatural. They said that procreation “must be an act of love.”

Dolce said, “You are born to a mother and a father – or at least that’s how it should be.” Gabbana added, “The family is not a fad. In it, there is a supernatural sense of belonging.” Dolce stated, furthermore, that he opposed changing nature to create “children of chemistry, synthetic children, uteri for rent, semen chosen from a catalog.”

All of this outraged the gay singer, Elton John, and he called for a boycott of Dolce and Gabbana’s clothing. How dare someone say something that he doesn’t agree with? With respect to his IVF children, Elton John fumed, “How dare you refer to my beautiful children as ‘synthetic.'”

I would hate to reinforce another stereotype about gay men shopping, but after getting everyone on board for his boycott, Elton John was spotted carrying a Dolce and Gabbana bag less than 24 hours later.

When asked for comment, his spokesman said, “Yes he was carrying the bag but he hadn’t been shopping. And it should not detract from their original message or the boycott.” Sure thing, Elton John.

Well, today it seems that all is well with Elton John and he declared that he loved Dolce and Gabbana and that his whole band was wearing it. Perhaps he finally looked up the definition of the word “synthetic” and realized that is wasn’t so much an insult as it was an accurate description.

Interfaith Marriage Conference: “Complementarity of Man and Woman”

November 8, 2014 (AcuteMania.net) – On November 17-19, 2014, the Catholic Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith will host a colloquium in Vatican City in cooperation with the Pontifical Council for the Family, the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. The title of the colloquium will be the Complementarity of Man and Woman in Marriage. It will feature representatives from 14 religious traditions, including Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, Jaina Shasana, Taoist and Sikh, as well as Roman Catholics and professing Christians.

The event has been a year in the making since it was first proposed to Pope Francis by Cardinal Mueller in November 2013. It is being conducted in conjunction with many well-known leaders of faith like Russell Moore, the president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, Rick Warren, the leader of the Saddleback megachurch, and President Henry B. Eyring, First Counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In a blog post entitled “Why I am going to the Vatican,” Russell Moore wrote, “I hope that this gathering of religious leaders can stand in solidarity on the common grace, creational mandate of marriage and family as necessary for human flourishing and social good.”

The LDS Church issued this statement about the interfaith conference:

At this time of rapidly declining moral values and the challenges to traditional family structures and relationships throughout the world, we are pleased to unite with the Catholic Church, other fellow Christian denominations and other world religions in standing firm and speaking clearly about the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman.

The objective of the conference is to “examine and propose anew the beauty of the relationship between the man and the woman, in order to support and reinvigorate marriage and family life for the flourishing of human society.”

More information can be found on the colloquy website is http://www.humanum.it, which has released several videos like the one below. There you can find information about the agenda, the presenters, the films, and media credentialing.
