Will Conservatives Boycott ESPN for Hank Williams Jr.?

Many conservatives have voiced their suport for Hank Williams Jr.’s call for a boycott of ESPN. If you aren’t familiar with it, here’s one story of where things are now. However, that story doesn’t really explain the main point.

It seems ESPN decided to drop Hank Williams Jr.’s song (“Are You Ready for Some Football?”) from Monday Night Football after it was claimed that Hank Williams Jr. said Obama was Hitler. Of course, Hank Williams Jr. never actually called Obama “Hitler.” Rather, he said that the congressional republicans playing golf with Obama was like Hitler playing golf with the jewish leader, Netanyahu, because they are polar opposites and have nothing in common.

The reality of what Hank Williams Jr. said, didn’t stop ESPN from cancelling his song on Monday Night Football. This isn’t too surprising, since ESPN pulled a similar stunt on Rush Limbaugh a few years back. In response to all of this, Hank Williams Jr. wrote the song in the video above, which calls for a boycott of ESPN. Some conservatives have voiced their support for a boycott, but the question remains for the rest of you out there: “Are you ready for some boycotts?”
